Samsung Plasma TVs May Stop Working Because of Defective Components

A class action complaint alleges that Samsung plasma televisions may contain unsuitable and/or inadequate internal components, such as capacitors, which cause the televisions to prematurely fail.  Samsung and Best Buy allegedly failed to disclose the defect and to maintain the supplies needed to repair the televisions.  Customers who also purchased the Geek Squad Protection Plan (“GSPP”) from Best Buy further allege that they were denied repairs, replacements, and/or refunds despite the GSPP warranty.  The affected televisions were manufactured between January 2009 and November 2014 and range in price from $600.00 to $5,000.00.
