
On November 5, 2019 a press release alleged that InterMed was hacked by way of four employees email accounts, exposing personal patient information. The data breach was discovered on Sept. 6, 2019. InterMed hired a forensics team which discovered that patient’s names, birth dates, insurance information, social security and clinical data may have been exposed.
