
Consumers allege that General Motors 8L90 and 8L45 transmissions are defective because they cause vehicles to shudder, jerk, suddenly accelerate, fail to accelerate, fail to downshift, and delay stopping despite the application of brakes. GM allegedly knew the transmissions were defective, but continued to produce vehicles with the defective part.
