Tesla Customers May Be Denied Repairs Despite Warranty

Tesla purports to offer its customers the “best warranty and service program in the world.”  However, customers who purchased preowned Model S and Model X vehicles are alleging that they have been denied repairs under the warranty.

Tesla allegedly conducts a full inspection of all preowned vehicles but fails to provide customers with a written report, detailing the findings of those inspections.  Moreover, Tesla offers customers a 4-year, 50,000 mile or 2-year, 100,000 mile warranty that is supposed to cover a list of standard parts and defective items.  Customers are also offered an 8-year, unlimited mile warranty for the battery.  However, customers have alleged that Tesla fails to honor its warranties, leaving them to pay for costly repairs.

If you or anyone you know purchased a preowned Tesla Model S or Model X, please contact Finkelstein Thompson LLP. You can reach us at contact@finkelsteinthompson.com or call us toll-free at 1-844-280-5009.
