Consumers allege that Epic Games, Inc. encountered a data breach, potentially exposing millions of customers information. Around November 2018, Epic Games became aware of a cybersecurity vulnerability enabling cyber criminals to hijack players’ accounts and access player’ personally identifiable information (PII), credit card, and other sensitive personal information. After hijacking a player’s account, a cyber criminal could then purchase “Vbucks” to resell on the “black market.”
