Ford allegedly equipped trucks with dirty engines.
A class action complaint has been filed alleging that Ford equips trucks that have the 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel engines with an illegal software algorithm designed to cheat federal and state emission testing for oxides of nitrogen (NOX). Allegedly this practice deceives regulators, inducing them to certify hundreds of thousands of non-compliant vehicles, and deceives hundreds of thousands of consumers who have bought or leased dirty diesels, thinking they are clean and emissions compliant.
