The Hudson’s Bay Company, the corporation that owns Lord & Taylor, LLC, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Saks OFF 5TH, announced that millions of Lord & Taylor and Saks customers’ personal financial data – in particular, credit and debit card records including cardholder names, card numbers, expiration dates, and internal verification codes – may have been compromised between May 2017 and late March 2018. Allegedly, a criminal syndicate known as “JokerStash” announced the release for sale on the dark web of over five million stolen credit and debit card records.
