Hotel Giants May Have Conspired To Keep Prices High

A recently filed class action lawsuit alleges that several large hotel chains (including Hyatt and Hilton, among others) wrongfully inflated the rates charged for rooms reserved through the hotel’s web sites or through an online travel agency such as Expedia or Priceline.  The complaint alleges that the chains agreed to coordinate their online advertising to reduce competition between them, thereby raising the price of rooms as well as the cost of finding rooms.  These allegations, if true, may entitle affected individuals or entities to a monetary recovery.

The hotel chains named in the complaint are listed below.  If you, or someone you know, paid for hotel rooms reserved online after January 1, 2015, please contact Finkelstein Thompson LLP to discuss your legal rights.
