Facebook is alleged to have disclosed the personal information of 50 million of its users to an outside entity. Cambridge Analytica, a political data analysis firm, is alleged to have acquired the Facebook users’ private information, using it to analyze their personalities in an attempt to influence their voting. The information alleged to have been disclosed includes users’ identities, friend networks, and likes.
