Subaru failed to communicate with its consumers regarding defects going on with their vehicles. The issues reside with engine.
Subaru of America Inc. and Subaru Corporation are facing a class action lawsuit which accuses the defendants of keeping vital information, related to defects, from its consumers. Defects include faulty rod ride clearances, connecting rod bearings, and problematic engine lubrication, which effects the vehicles engine causing it to face difficulties. Subaru vehicles at risk are the 2013 and 2014 WRX and WRX STi. The class action suit filed in California alleges that Subaru violates several laws including California’s Consumers Remedies Act, violations of California’s Unfair Competition Law, violations of the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, and breach of written warranty under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
